EnduroSat, a Bulgarian spacetech firm, has completed a $205 million (€178 million) funding round aimed at expanding its satellite operations to the next level. The capital injection propels the company past the $1 billion valuation mark, conferring unicorn status. Riot Ventures and Atreides Management co-led the round, joined by a substantial group of backers: the European Innovation Council, Google Ventures, Founders Fund, House Capital, Lux Capital, Omnes Capital, Giant Ventures, Emphatic Capital and Endeavor Catalyst.

Funding rounds across the region

Veridion, a Romanian business intelligence platform that constructs a continuously updated digital map of the worldwide business ecosystem, has raised $20 million in Series A funding. The company's AI-driven system tracks data on roughly 640 million businesses globally. Hoxton Ventures led the round, with backing from repeat investors Underline Ventures, OTB Ventures, Gapminder, Day One Capital and LAUNCHub.

Creem, an Estonian billing and monetisation platform designed for AI-native software makers, has secured €5 million in seed-stage capital. Polish venture fund Inovo VC spearheaded the investment, alongside existing backers Practica Capital and Antler. The funding round also drew participation from angel investors including Markus Villig, founder of Bolt; Timmu Tõke and Kaspar Tiri, co-founders of Ready Player Me; Adam Jafer of Voi; and Fryd Wiatrowski of Viktor.com.

EnforceShield, based in Vilnius, has raised €1.7 million to grow its attorney-designed, autonomous platform for tackling intellectual property violations at the enterprise level. Vendep Capital led the round, with FIRSTPICK VC also participating.

TesterArmy, operating from San Francisco and Warsaw, has closed a €1 million pre-seed funding round backed by Y Combinator, AIP Seed, Eight Capital, Script Capital and angel investors including Vercel founder Guillermo Rauch. The company's technology deploys AI agents capable of tracing user workflows using plain language instructions, without requiring test scripts or source-code access.

Czech investment vehicle JSK Investments SICAV a.s. has participated in the Series A round of Andromeda Surgical, a San Francisco-based medtech company. The round brought in $15 million, lifting total funding to $30 million. Andromeda Surgical is developing an autonomous surgical system intended to democratise access to complex procedures and reduce the technical expertise barrier for specialists.

New fund launching

Asternova Centru, a fresh €8.061 million regional venture capital vehicle, will formally commence operations on September 30 at CATTIA Brașov during the Romanian Capital Circle – Asternova Centru launch x EIT Urban Mobility Ecosystem Day.

The fund draws €7.058 million in public anchor capital from ADR Centru through the European Regional Development Fund. Aster Capital Partners manages the vehicle in collaboration with Iceberg+ and Venture Booster, with Silvia Ursu serving as General Partner. The fund targets the early-stage institutional funding gap, deploying cheques ranging from €50,000 to €350,000 across a planned portfolio of 40 pre-seed and seed technology startups operating in six central Romanian counties: Alba, Brașov, Covasna, Harghita, Mureș, and Sibiu.
