EnforceShield, a legaltech platform built on AI and legal expertise, has closed a €1.7M funding round led by Vendep Capital with backing from FIRSTPICK VC. The company automates the end-to-end process of detecting and removing intellectual property violations across digital channels — from counterfeits and unauthorized sellers to cloned storefronts and impersonation ads.
The Problem and the Solution
Generative AI has made IP abuse far easier to perpetrate and scale, yet enforcement remains largely a human operation. Traditional detection tools identify violations but leave the actual takedown work to lawyers and analysts, creating a bottleneck. EnforceShield replaces this model with autonomous agents that execute the full enforcement workflow — detection, legal analysis, validation, takedown, monitoring and escalation — without requiring human intervention at every step.
The platform uses AI agents trained with jurisdiction-specific legal logic to make case-level decisions. Rather than serving as a co-pilot to human teams, it operates independently on routine matters, with human attorneys and analysts stepping in only to approve outcomes or handle flagged exceptions and complex escalations. This approach, which the company calls a "human-at-the-end" model, decouples enforcement volume from headcount.
Traction and Customer Base
EnforceShield serves more than 20 enterprise customers, primarily e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands, multi-brand portfolios and companies dealing with recurring IP abuse. Named clients include Moerie, Pulsetto, Bioma and ColonBroom. On average, the platform removes 33,500 or more IP violations per month, and same-day onboarding is possible because the system requires minimal initial data before surfacing infringements.
Funding and Growth Plans
The capital will fuel two main initiatives: expanding technical and product capacity to automate additional layers of enforcement — pushing AI agents beyond standardized takedowns to handle repeat offenders and more complex escalation pathways — and commercial expansion in the United States, which already represents up to 80 percent of the company's sales pipeline.
The Vision
When I founded this company, I felt we were already operating on borrowed time. Generative AI had made IP abuse a booming business, but enforcement was still largely a human-scale operation. Enterprises didn't need more lawyers or even a software co-pilot. They needed tech that's able to think like a lawyer and pilot itself through enforcement workflows.
Rytis Rudzinskas, CEO & founder
Artis Bisers, Investment Manager at Vendep Capital, framed the opportunity in broader terms: "AI has made turning service businesses into software into a massive opportunity, and legal services are ripe for this shift. Finding counterfeits was never the hard part for brands. The value lies in everything that happens after discovery, and EnforceShield handles that whole process in one system rather than stopping at detection."
Business Model
EnforceShield operates on a SaaS subscription model, offering continuous, autonomous enforcement to enterprises through enterprise licensing rather than per-case fees.
