Flat-rate pricing from €2,000 per month, with customisation driving higher costs
Vodafone Germany has become the first carrier in the country to roll out standardised pricing for 5G network slicing, seeking to democratise access to the technology across organisations regardless of scale. The initiative brings two fresh offerings—Campus Flex Exclusive and Campus Flex Starter—designed to furnish businesses with what the company describes as a form of "network insurance" that guarantees reliable connectivity for mission-critical operations. Where custom configurations once demanded extensive planning and investment, Vodafone contends its new pricing structure accelerates go-to-market timelines and reduces upfront expenditure.
Campus Flex Exclusive grants organisations a reserved portion of Vodafone's 5G+ infrastructure at their premises, functioning as a bespoke private 5G campus network configured to their specifications within a month's timeframe. Aimed at scenarios demanding high throughput or operational continuity—such as factory automation or driverless vehicle systems—the service delivers peak speeds of 20Mbps for uploads and 80Mbps for downloads. Pricing begins at €2,000 monthly as a fixed charge per installation.
Campus Flex Starter serves as the accessible entry point. It delivers a pre-established slice distributed among numerous subscribers and rolled out across the entire nation, with throughput around 1Mbps. Vodafone positions this for lighter workloads including contactless payment systems at exhibitions and conferences, or voice dispatch systems serving law enforcement and transit operators. Billing operates on a per-user model at €10 monthly under a year-long agreement, or €20 monthly with month-to-month flexibility.
We're making 5G slicing easier than ever before. Companies of all sizes can now quickly and easily benefit from the advantages of their own network segment. From festivals to company campuses: Our Campus Flex plans are the answer to the increasing demands for network security and performance in the corporate environment. This supports our customers in their digital transformation.

Vodafone has previously experimented with slicing technology in targeted deployments, including demonstrations at prominent industry events where the technology supported cutting-edge applications like the Spot robot dog, and in partnership with Chemnitz University of Technology across a 25km experimental corridor in the Ore Mountains region. The Campus Flex rollout represents the inaugural instance of network slicing being offered as a commercial standard service in Germany.
No comparable slicing offerings have been introduced by Vodafone in other territories, positioning this German initiative as a group-wide first. While the operator has previously demonstrated slicing capabilities at international venues, transitioning to standardised commercial packages signals a significant milestone in moving the technology toward mainstream enterprise deployment.
Through its dual-tier approach, Vodafone seeks to broaden the appeal of 5G slicing beyond large-scale industrial installations to encompass smaller enterprises and event management companies, unlocking potential across a broader spectrum of business-critical use cases. The carrier maintains that its streamlined model dismantles adoption obstacles and establishes slicing as a modular, adaptable offering for organisations undergoing technological modernisation.
