Science4Beauty, founded by Magdalena Janczewska (CEO), Anna Mazurkiewicz-Pisarek (PhD), Alina Mazurkiewicz and Agata Stefanek, with scientific guidance from Prof. Tomasz Ciach, has raised €1.6 million in a funding round. The investment was led by 4growth VC, with participation from Hard2beat and several business angels.

The product and market opportunity

The startup's core offering addresses demand for wrinkle reduction without injections. Science4Beauty developed a recombinant conotoxin—a bioactive compound derived from sea-snail venom—that relaxes facial muscles and smooths wrinkles when applied topically. The flagship product, Miorelaxant Magic™, has demonstrated clinical efficacy in reducing wrinkle depth by up to 48 percent and extending the effects of Botox treatments by approximately 60 days.

The company operates a dual sales model, supplying aesthetic medicine clinics while also selling directly to consumers through its online store.

Technology and competitive advantages

Science4Beauty maintains an in-house biotechnology platform capable of designing, producing and purifying recombinant proteins and peptides. The operation includes a certified Category I genetic engineering laboratory. The technology is protected by intellectual property across 10 jurisdictions, and the company has validated its efficacy through clinical trials.

Use of funds and pipeline

The capital will support expansion of production and sales operations, acceleration of research into additional bioactive molecules for dermatology and aesthetic medicine, and entry into key international markets. Beyond wrinkle reduction, Science4Beauty is developing treatments for hyperhidrosis and skin conditions including rosacea, alongside innovative delivery systems such as microneedle patches.

Magdalena Janczewska stated: "Science4Beauty is not just a line of finished skincare products, but above all a complete and highly scalable biotechnology platform… We are working on new applications for our technology, including treatments for hyperhidrosis and dermatological conditions such as rosacea, as well as innovative delivery systems like microneedle patches."

Investor backing

Tomasz Pasiewicz, Managing Partner at 4growth VC, commented on the investment: "At 4growth VC, we look for deep-tech companies – particularly in health and life sciences – that seamlessly combine breakthrough science with effective commercial execution. Science4Beauty meets these criteria entirely… We see immense potential in the innovative dermatology market and believe Science4Beauty has all the assets required to become a global player in the smart luxury segment."

Konrad Trzyna, Managing Partner at Hard2beat, highlighted the technology's broader appeal: "Science4Beauty is a prime example of leveraging synthetic biology and protein engineering for rapid commercialization… What attracted us is the platform potential of this technology and its entry into the medical-grade skincare market, combining the attractive margin profile of the beauty industry with the high entry barriers of the pharma sector."
