Nscale has landed $3.36 billion (£2.54 billion) in fresh capital to fuel expansion of its AI infrastructure operations. The investment vehicle takes the form of convertible loan notes, with Third Point anchoring the round. The syndicate brings together Nvidia alongside funds controlled by Apollo, Citadel, Hudson Bay Capital, Abu Dhabi Investment Council and 8090 Industries, among others.
The investor roster extends further to include Davidson Kempner Capital Management, Qube Research & Technologies (QRT), Context Capital Management, Longaeva Partners L.P, Wellington Management, Castleknight, Ghisallo Capital Management, LionTree Investment Fund, L.P, Javelin Venture Partners and Irving Investors.
The capital deployment unfolds in two tranches. Nscale will receive $2.36 billion (£1.78 billion) upon closing, with Nvidia committing an additional $1 billion expected to arrive in mid-November 2026. Upon the company's initial public offering, the convertible loan notes will transform into ordinary shares.
Nscale Founder and CEO Josh Payne commented: "This marks a milestone for Nscale as we continue scaling our full-stack AI infrastructure to meet unprecedented global demand. With the backing of these world-class investors, we are strongly positioned to accelerate our data centre buildouts globally."
