Nokia has deepened its collaboration with Microsoft, aiming to help telecommunications operators embed AI and network automation into their everyday workflows. The partnership centers on creating a shared data infrastructure that merges Nokia Data Suite with Microsoft Fabric, enabling operators to gain faster and more reliable access to network data.

Nokia's Data Suite delivers pre-built data products tailored for telecommunications, while Microsoft Fabric consolidates data management, analytics capabilities and AI functionality into one unified environment. When integrated, this combination allows operators to link network information with business data from other departments without the lengthy preparation and setup work that typically precedes such integration efforts.

The joint solution operates across multiple network equipment makers and functional domains, and functions equally well in cloud-based, hybrid or on-site deployment models. This approach gives operators greater choice in how they adopt AI technologies while maintaining compliance with regulatory obligations and operational standards, Nokia stated.

Vivek Jaiswal, Senior Vice President for Autonomous Networks at Nokia, remarked: "Nokia and Microsoft are bringing the right data, at the right time, for the right reason to telecom operators worldwide. Together, we are helping networks evolve from static infrastructures into programmable, AI-native platforms."

The partnership also encompasses work on predictive maintenance capabilities, where AI systems will examine both past and real-time network information to spot emerging issues before they impact end users.
