The Gaia-X International Advisory Board assembled for the first time this week, bringing together officials and industry leaders from Brazil, Canada, the Caribbean, and Japan to meet with the initiative's senior management team.
The gathering launched what the organisation describes as a formal framework for discussing cross-border cooperation and worldwide input into Gaia-X's direction. Participants examined trust mechanisms, digital sovereignty concerns, and how regional viewpoints might inform international decision-making structures. The session also included updates on Gaia-X Season 2.0.
The initiative plans to build on this foundation at the Gaia-X Summit scheduled for Vienna on 19 November, where board members and the broader Gaia-X network will convene in person to share regional insights and identify avenues for expanded worldwide engagement.
