Lexroom, an AI operating system designed for legal work, has taken over Praven Intelekt, a Bulgarian startup that developed one of the country's earliest AI tools tailored for the legal sector. The acquisition marks Lexroom's entry into Central and Eastern Europe and brings on board a legal AI assistant already used by over 900 clients in Bulgaria, ranging from individual practitioners to municipal authorities and corporate legal departments.
BlueFive Capital has finalised its purchase of a 30% stake in Bugatti Rimac, the Croatian manufacturer of Bugatti supercars. The equity was bought directly from Porsche AG, positioning BlueFive Capital as the second-largest owner after Rimac Group. As part of the deal, BlueFive Capital will hold a board position and two observer roles at Bugatti Rimac.
Robutler, a startup founded in Ukraine, has secured $400K in funding from ZAS Ventures in its inaugural institutional investment round. The company, established in 2025 by Volodymyr Seliuchenko, is developing an AI-driven tool for creating and working together on documents, presentations, design work, video, engineering projects, games and other content types.
Earth Ledger, a US-based company with Croatian leadership and local presence, has won its first real estate client. Studio Aura has decided to deploy Earth Ledger intelligence across its entire property portfolio of roughly 300 listings, integrating the platform into 100% of its current holdings.
Big across Europe
Mistral, headquartered in France, has raised €3 billion at a valuation near €21 billion ($24 billion), marking what the three-year-old AI firm calls the largest equity round ever closed by a privately owned European technology business.
PSG Equity, an existing backer, co-led the round alongside newcomers Samsung Electronics and the EU-backed Scaleup Europe Fund. Mistral, founded in 2023, builds open-weight AI models and systems enabling organisations to run AI while keeping control of their data. The company operates across 20 countries and works with over 125 enterprise clients including Airbus, ASML, and HSBC. In March 2026, Mistral secured $830M in debt financing to purchase NVIDIA chips for its inaugural data centre.
Funds supporting Europe
CEECAT Capital, a private equity investor backing high-growth firms across Emerging Europe, has announced the initial close of CEECAT Capital Fund III at €135 million. The fund is targeting €200 million with a maximum cap of €250 million, positioning it to exceed CEECAT Capital Fund II, which closed at €154 million.
The initial close drew support from anchor investors including the European Investment Fund (EIF), which pledged €40 million with partial backing from Romania's National Recovery and Resilience Plan, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The fund also attracted commitments from returning Limited Partners and fresh backing from family offices and institutional investors.
Romanian startups head to Luxembourg
ROTSA, working with the Romania - Luxembourg Business Forum (RomLux), is hosting the 11th RoTechMission delegation to help Romanian startups grow internationally and connect with global technology, investment and business networks.
On October 14-15, the Romanian delegation will take part in Luxembourg Venture Days, a major European platform for funding, growing and scaling tech companies. The 2025 edition of Luxembourg Venture Days drew more than 3,400 attendees, 330 investors and 400 speakers.
